Full mechanical system installation for a 14-story downtown hotel — from design coordination through commissioning of 280 guest rooms and all common areas.
The Provo Marriott presented a complex mechanical challenge: delivering precise climate control across 280 guest rooms and 40,000 sq ft of common space while working within the constraints of an occupied urban high-rise construction schedule.
Salmon Mechanical coordinated directly with the project's structural and electrical trades to sequence ductwork fabrication and equipment lifts around the vertical concrete pours. All systems were factory-tested prior to installation, reducing on-site commissioning time by 30%.
The completed installation includes a central chilled-water plant, dedicated outside-air systems for each floor, and individual fan coil units in every guest room — all integrated into a single BAS for facility management.
